Handles Signal Gaps

Remote routes often have no signal. Emergency numbers work with none at all, trip logging keeps recording, and recently loaded local info stays on your device.

📏

Trip Logger

Record your rides with a live speed gauge, real-time distance counter, and GPS route tracking. All ride history is saved on-device — never uploaded anywhere.

🗓️

MC Season & Inspection

Winter-storage and spring-prep checklists, and a per-country inspection tracker that reminds you about a month before the deadline. Several bikes, each tracked.

Clean, Rider-Focused UI

No ads. No clutter. Just the information you need — glanceable and fast, designed for bikers on the move.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change the language?
Open the app's settings menu and select your preferred language from the list. Vegvísir supports English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and Icelandic — and remembers your choice for future sessions.
Why am I not seeing certain points of interest?
Points of interest are updated automatically when your device has a connection. If you're in an area with limited coverage, some places may not be visible until your next search refreshes them. Try refreshing when you regain connectivity.
Does the app work offline?
Partly. Emergency numbers, first-aid guidance and trip logging work with no signal at all, and recently loaded local information stays available. Maps, nearby searches and weather need a connection.
How often does the app update?
The app checks for new content and improvements automatically in the background. You don't need to manually trigger updates — the app handles it for you whenever a connection is available.
Privacy

Your privacy matters

Vegvísir has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your coordinates go to our own place-search server, to OpenStreetMap and to Open-Meteo to answer each request — and never to advertisers. Our server logs no IP addresses and no positions.

The app only processes the minimum data required to function, such as language settings and cached content.
